It was also nice to be able to refer to your notes. She removed a couple more resource hogs that she wasn’t using…AIM and Google Earth. 

Laptops have gotten so inexpensive people may be more inclined to replace them than repair them. But once you add up all the “extras”, I think people would find it very cost effective to get their machine fixed. It is also a little “greener” to repair rather than replace.

“….. plugged in… the laptop – all was well!   I paid my bills and read some emails!  The pc is working FASTER then ever!  I love it!  Usually I sit and wait til something finally comes up – now it just opens up right away!

Right now, I am doing aok w/it!   Fingers crossed that all goes well.  U r the first person I’ll be calling in a panic when it doesn’t work!  The beauty of this being a laptop is that I can just put it in the car and be at your office in 5 mins!!!!

Dear Lisa and Jonathan:

I cannot tell you how grateful we are regarding your help in getting our computer up and running again. Donny and I were about to have a coronary because of our frustration with Verizon. We had been on the phone with various people from Verizon for 3 days, with each person promising that they would get back to us with an answer as to why our DSL was not functional.

And no one ever did.

One day, we were told that a technician would be coming by on 4/13/09 between the times of 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, to fix our computer. My husband, Donny, waited in the house all day long for the technician, but he never arrived. When we called Verizon for the umpteenth time to find out why the service person never came, we were told that there was nothing set up in the computer on their end regarding this technician coming.

This was our plight for 3 days with Verizon. No one could help and each person who seemed serious about helping us, would disappear into the woodwork, never to be heard from again.

Feeling helpless, I looked through our local phone book, and in the yellow pages I saw a large ad for the “Computer Care Associates”. I called, and Lisa Shapiro answered, and this was the beginning of the end of our nightmare. By this time, I was crying, and Lisa consoled me and told me that her company had dealt with many people like myself, who could not get satisfaction from Verizon. She told me that her husband would be able to do what the layperson could not, since he had learned how to work his way around Verizon. With his knowledge of computers, he was able to ask the right questions, and he was able to persevere until he got to the right person.

Anyway, on April 14th, 2009, Lisa and Jonathan, called us repeatedly, keeping us abreast of their conversations with Verizon. I was made to feel like I was “their only customer”, because they were so efficient in their dealings with us. Jonathan promised that he would get a technician to come over. I only waited about a half hour when Jonathan called back, and told me that a technician would be coming the next day between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

He made me feel safe because he told me that we should call him if for some reason, the technician failed to show up. Again, this personal treatment was such a joy after dealing with the impersonal Verizon personnel.

The technician showed up as promised, and he fixed the problem. Our computer is working better than ever, and it is only because of the interventions of Lisa and Jonathan Shapiro.

I am indebted to them forever, and I wouldn’t think of using anyone else, should a computer related problem arise in the future.

This company is fair, caring, and they know what they are doing. They give you personal service and they follow through with their promises.
